How to change a baby diaper
Along with caring for and bathing your
infant, changing their diapers is a task you'll encounter as quickly and often as any other parent. Although it may seem a
bit overwhelming from the start, figuring out how to change a diaper will
become natural with training.
Newborns typically go through 8 to 10 diapers per day(depends on feeding), which is more than 3,500 diaper changes until they are latrine trained. Here are some tips to make it easier for you and your little one.
Steps to change a diaper
Before diapering
you must have the following things in hand.
- 1. New
diper
- 2.
Cotton
rolls or wipes
- 3. Oil or ointments
- 4. Clean cloths
Clean hands: you must wash your hands to maintain hygiene to both of you and your baby
Take off the dirty diaper: Gently place your baby on his back. remove
the diaper pins from each side. Gently lift your baby up by the legs and remove
the stool and soiled diaper from underneath.
Clean washcloths
or wipes: wash your baby's genital area with lume warm and clean water and
clean washcloths or cotton rolls to remove all dirtiness, then wipe whole area to avoid any infection.
Clean diapers:
place a clean diaper under your
baby in a correct way, poop and pee make make baby’s skin irritating or rash
for that you can use oil or you can apply a good ointments or cream thourly on
baby front and back genital's, most of
the diaper companies have different markings indicating that which part of
diper is front, back, top or bottom, tie the diaper properly and remember if
your baby is male, place his front genital
downside to avoid pee leakage.
Clean cloths: after all that change your baby cloth with neat and clean ones.
Final
Step: dispose of the used diaper, put
dirty cloths of baby for washing, and again clean your hands with good soap.
